  1. List 7 things (conditions) the children did for Mum to say ‘yes’ to the rugby.
 fold the clothes, put them away, hang your school bag, empties our lunch boxes, we have to make our beds, and set the table.  
  1. What did Mum wish? 
there was a big game often.
  1. Why did Mum pick them up early from school that day? to do there chores, and to take them to the game early. 
  2. Where were the children’s seats? the middle of the front row.
  3. What feelings did the children feel? excited, and happy. 
  4. How do we know that the children were watching the players carefully? 
They would study every detail about them. before the game,and they would never miss a minute of the game.
  1. Why did people text their friends? 
To find out where they are sitting.
  1. How do we know there were lots of hungry people there? because they would want to watch the whole game and not miss like a goal or surprise.
  2. Which words tell us the children watched the game all the time? (Use speech marks).
 because the kids would said “when are they playing next”

How Maui slowed the sun

Taniela How Maui Slowed the Sun. 1. What is the title of the story? How Maui Slowed the Sun. 2. When did the events in the story happen? Maui tried to slow the sun down for more light 3. Why were the days short and the nights long? Beuase the Sun would never go down slow it would disappear fast. 4. Why were people unhappy? Cuase they didn’t get sunlight enough for cooking or where to go. 5. What did the people do? They tried to run away from the sun. 6. Why didn’t Maui do anything at first? Becuase his brothers pulled the ropes and he was the one to alarm them. 7. Why did Maui change his mind? Becuase the sun gave up on the fight. 8. What did Maui and his brothers make? Ropes, 9. What did they do when they had made the ropes? They put it right where the sun was about to rise. 10. Why did they travel towards the east? Cuase thats where the sun sets. 11. Why did they travel at night? Becuase he wasn’t awake to see them. 12. What did they do when the sun started to rise? They stood quietly there waiting until the sun went in to there trap. 13. Why couldn’t the sun get free? Becuase its was to strong. 15. When did the brothers let go of the ropes? When he gave up on the fight. 16. What did the sun do after the brothers let go of the ropes? He started to go slowly. 17. Why was Maui happy? Becuase they would have light for say like 12 hours or so.
